Webinar: Unlocking Climate Insights: Risk Metrics and Collaborative Engagement in Real Estate
GREEN invites you to a webinar that explains how investors assess the environmental performance of real estate companies and demonstrates how GREEN’s investor members engage with REITs to accelerate progress toward the Paris Climate goals.
Given that forty percent of global CO2 emissions originate from the built environment, institutional investors are increasingly evaluating climate risks associated with real estate investments. This webinar will be of interest to real asset owners, real estate asset managers, and REITs.
What to expect?
Green Street is a renowned international real estate research and advisory firm working with both investors and their advisors and real estate managers. Daniel Ismail, Head of Strategic Research of Green Street, will describe the key metrics they have developed to assist investors to analyse real estate companies in assessing portfolio risk and values. He will outline the latest developments in their approach, explaining how climate risk is likely to grow in importance for investors.
Uma Moriarity of CenterSquare Investment Management, a member of GREEN, together with Ethan Gilbert from Prologis Inc., the world’s largest listed industrial real estate company, will showcase a collaborative engagement dialogue. The session will demonstrate a typical engagement call, where the company’s latest climate initiatives are discussed, current climate risk opportunities and challenges are shared, and expectations from both parties are voiced.
